Harvard Vanguard My Health Online, i'm a trainee obstetrician andgynacologist. the international outreach program has a collaboration between makere university and mcmaster university.รข it's been on for quite a long time. over 25 years.
i'm proud to say that i'm actually training with mcmaster university. the university is one of the best in the world. you can't imagine all the skills we are acquiring here. and i'm very sure that any practicing obstetrician wouldwish at one point to go throughmcmaster university. the international outreach program has availed me the opportunity to come to mcmaster and niagara health system to better my skills. this comes as an electiveprogram, a four-monthelective program to shape me better in the quality, toshape me better in the skills,to shape me better in the knowledge. we tend to have more-skilled obstetric care for mothers here
with the hands-on training. you get the directly observed training which probably i may not be getting back home.here you have the one-on-one.the obstetricians take you on and give you that skill. that isa really big addition in my life what i have learned here at niagara health system is going to create a big difference in the care that i'm actually going to provide back home in my country. i'm going to be focussing on the patient with the preventive aspects, the investigative aspects, and the managerialinterventional aspects,quite different with the different skills. everyone, i think, should really donate to this program.it's a very wonderful program
with all the intentions of improving the quality of careespecially in the developing world like uganda where i am coming from. and if this program is stretched all over the developing countries, not only uganda. east africa, central africa with the vast majority of the need because the reproductive need there is very huge. so if it is spread out and the potential is out there if anyone there can donate with whatever they do have, the quality of careand the healthcare system is going to be improved greatly.
